Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular Rehabilitation is a specialised form of physiotherapy designed to alleviate problems caused by vestibular disorders, which affect the inner ear and brain areas responsible for balance, coordination, and eye movement. The goal of vestibular rehabilitation is to improve balance, reduce dizziness, and enhance the patient’s overall ability to function in their daily activities.
Patients at The Nerve Injury Clinic can receive vestibular rehabilitation as part of their neurological physiotherapy treatment. Following a thorough assessment, patients may be given customised exercises, such as habituation, gaze stabilisation or balance exercises. All patients receive individualised information on techniques to reduce symptoms during daily activities. In some cases, hands-on techniques are used to correct specific vestibular dysfunctions, such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).

Melinda Sallaway-Royle I was recommended to see Claire Downs in July 2022 by the Neurogist Prof. Mark Roberts after I had been suffering with Peripheral Neuropathy for a while. Due to the nature of nerve pain, treament is a slow progress but with time I have felt a dramatic improvement in my nerve pain around my left ankle. I believe this is down to Claire’s specialised knowledge and expertise of how to deal with nerve pain, as my ankle was found to be very sensitive to small changes of movement. I can highly recommend The Nerve Injury Clinic to anybody suffering with nerve pain. Paul Thank goodness I found the Nerve Injury Clinic. I have a long term Cervical Spine issue and post surgery things were still going downhill. It is so much more than a Physiotherapy practice. Claire has been able to manage my situation which has allowed me to continue to do some things. She is knowledgeable, professional and personable. It's worth a chat, if you feel they may help. Dan Smith This place has been a god send for me. I didn't believe I would recover to the extent I have without them. Claire the owner has been great at understanding my issues and helping with the stimulator to get my nerve feelings back. Kelly and Katie are very different in their rehab approach but both are very affective helping me regain strength balance and movement. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Rob Lyons I had nerve pain in my hand for months and saw Katy, it felt better after 2 sessions following her advice Steve Jones Had shoulder problem for 6 months and now better.Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 5 reviews
