Exercise Classes
The Nerve Injury Clinic runs 45 minute Fit for Life classes every week for patients receiving physiotherapy at the clinic. The class is aimed at all abilities and is led by neurological physiotherapist Kellie Pike. The classes are small with a maximum of 6 participants, allowing Kellie to provide individualised support.Â
All exercises are adapted to each patient’s needs and abilities and can be performed in sitting, standing or a mixture of both. The class includes a warm up section, whole body stretches, arm and leg strengthening, balance, co-ordination and finishes with cool down stretches and breathwork.Â
There is a focus on the individual learning to manage their own limitations and knowing when to step back or push themselves. All equipment for the class is provided.Â
We recommend attending for a taster session and then going ahead to book a block of 6 classes.

Melinda Sallaway-RoyleI was recommended to see Claire Downs in July 2022 by the Neurogist Prof. Mark Roberts after I had been suffering with Peripheral Neuropathy for a while. Due to the nature of nerve pain, treament is a slow progress but with time I have felt a dramatic improvement in my nerve pain around my left ankle. I believe this is down to Claire’s specialised knowledge and expertise of how to deal with nerve pain, as my ankle was found to be very sensitive to small changes of movement. I can highly recommend The Nerve Injury Clinic to anybody suffering with nerve pain.PaulThank goodness I found the Nerve Injury Clinic. I have a long term Cervical Spine issue and post surgery things were still going downhill. It is so much more than a Physiotherapy practice. Claire has been able to manage my situation which has allowed me to continue to do some things. She is knowledgeable, professional and personable. It's worth a chat, if you feel they may help.Dan SmithThis place has been a god send for me. I didn't believe I would recover to the extent I have without them. Claire the owner has been great at understanding my issues and helping with the stimulator to get my nerve feelings back. Kelly and Katie are very different in their rehab approach but both are very affective helping me regain strength balance and movement. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.Rob LyonsI had nerve pain in my hand for months and saw Katy, it felt better after 2 sessions following her adviceSteve JonesHad shoulder problem for 6 months and now better.Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 5 reviews
